About this product

PES Sling 16mm – 180cm

The PES Sling 16mm (180 cm) is a workhorse – the kind of piece of gear that sits on your harness for years and just does its job. 16mm polyester webbing, sewn into a closed loop, rated to 22 kN. At 180 cm, this is the length you reach for when building big anchor equalisations, threading large rock features, or extending a belay station across spread-apart pieces.

The detail that sets this sling apart is the internal red polyester wear indicator. When the outer sheath gets abraded enough to expose those red fibres, it is time to retire the sling. No guesswork, no hoping — the sling tells you when it is done. For a piece of gear whose entire job is to not fail, that built-in honesty matters.

180 cm is the trad climber’s anchor sling. Wear it doubled around the shoulder, use it untied for big equalisations on three-piece anchors, or use it doubled-up for hauling setups. One of the most-used pieces of soft gear in any climbing rack.
