Stories with Venky (storieswithvenky.com) is a personal website and online shop run by Venky. The site features adventure stories, mountaineering journals, film essays, a podcast, and a shop selling handmade craft objects and mountaineering gear.

Shop & Orders

Placing an order:

  • By placing an order you confirm that the information provided is accurate and complete
  • Orders are accepted subject to product availability
  • We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion with a full refund
  • Order confirmation will be sent to your registered email address

Pricing:

  • All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of all applicable charges
  • Shipping is included in the product price – there are no additional shipping charges for Indian orders
  • Prices may change without prior notice – the price at the time of order placement will apply

Payment:

  • We accept UPI, credit cards, debit cards, and net banking via PhonePe Payment Gateway
  • Payment must be completed at the time of order
  • Failed payments will result in the order being cancelled automatically

Shipping & Delivery

  • All orders are shipped within India via India Post or courier
  • Estimated delivery time is 5–10 working days depending on your location
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by courier partners or circumstances beyond our control
  • Tracking information will be shared where available
  • International shipping is not currently available

Handmade Products

Handmade items may have slight variations in size, texture, colour, or finish from the product photographs. These variations are natural characteristics of handcrafted goods and are not defects. Each handmade item is unique.

Mountaineering Gear

All mountaineering hardware (carabiners, descenders, slings, etc.) sold on this site are sourced from reputable manufacturers and carry appropriate safety certifications (CE/UIAA where applicable). However:

  • Always inspect gear before use
  • Gear must be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions
  • We are not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from improper use of equipment
  • Safety-critical gear should be retired and replaced as per manufacturer guidelines
