The Pure Set is what a working sport climber’s rack is built on. Two robust Pure carabiners — straight gate at the top, bent gate at the bottom — joined by an 18 cm polyester sling. Nothing fancy, nothing clever, just a clean, reliable quickdraw that will outlast most of your climbing partners.

The Keylock closure on both carabiners eliminates the small hooked nose that catches on bolt hangers and slings during clipping. It is one of those details you do not appreciate until you have struggled to unclip a stuck carabiner mid-route — then you understand why every modern climbing carabiner moved to keylock.

The ANTITWIST fixing on the lower carabiner is the second detail worth mentioning. It holds the bottom carabiner in the correct orientation so the gate always faces the right way when you go to clip the rope. Saves you that fumbling moment when the carabiner is sideways and you are trying to clip while pumped on a runout.

18 cm is the standard sport climbing length — long enough to reduce rope drag on traversing routes, short enough to keep gear weight manageable. This is the quickdraw you build a rack of 12 around for serious sport climbing.
