Journey to Tanzania
Why I Am Travelling to Tanzania
The simple reason is this. There is Kilimanjaro.
But as I started researching, I realised there is much more in Tanzania than just Kili. In this process of exploring routes and figuring out how to reach the mountain, Anurag proposed something beautiful, and I instantly connected with it. Rather than just going and climbing, we planned the expedition in a bit intriguing and challenging method, something tougher than climbing Kilimanjaro itself.
We will volunteer at Bright English Medium School in Loliondo, try to raise funds for the school’s development, and support children’s education in the Maasai region of Tanzania. That is where it all began, with a simple question of how to start and where to start.
Anurag has always spoken about starting a foundation that works honestly for children’s education, especially in places where it struggles to reach. He created this opportunity. And that is when I decided. I knew this was what I had to do.
This journey is not about aspiration, or a race to become the best or the first. Because honestly, the idea of being the best feels empty. It is not good for the body, nor the mind. Over time, it can make life miserable. I knew that, and I know it still.
So here is the plan.
I am flying to Kilimanjaro (JRO) on the 29th of November, 2025. From there, we travel by road to Loliondo, nearly 500 kilometres away via Arusha. As I see online, the drive passes through the Ngorongoro National Park, lush, green and wild. I am genuinely excited for that ride.
Now, about the school.
Bright English Medium School

The place is called Loliondo, and the school is Bright English Medium School. They have nearly 500 children. About 300 stay in the boarding section, and 200 come as day scholars. The children are aged between five and sixteen years.
We want to volunteer there and raise funds to help the school grow, especially to improve its infrastructure. My focus is on ensuring they have a good kitchen and good water supply, not just for drinking but also for daily use and for gardening. I also hope we can help improve the classrooms.
It is a big aspiration for someone ordinary like me. But I have a strength, Anurag Nallavelli. Together, we might just be able to make this happen.
Now, about fundraising.
Crowdfunding platforms do not always work well. There are often questions about honesty. But that is where our strength lies. Both of us are brutally honest when it comes to adventure and children’s welfare. No compromises.
So is the idea. We circulate the story on this blog. If this blog reaches more than one hundred thousand readers, that in itself becomes the fundraiser. The readers become part of it, and the funds will come through Google via the AdSense program. The more people read, the more we generate, and every bit will go to this purpose.
Somewhere in this journey, Anurag’s dream began to take shape.
This is Anurag’s dream, and it is real.
He has dedicated his life to one purpose, to reach children who are left behind and bring them the essentials they deserve, food, care, and education. His vision is not limited by geography or by scale. Project Breathe Foundation was born from that idea. To give every child the right to learn and live in dignity. To make sure that the world does not forget those who are growing up in silence, far from the spotlight.
The Foundation stands on three simple and powerful pillars. Education, Care, and the Environment. It aims to support schools and children, protect animals and the people who nurture them, and restore the balance of nature through consistent actions.
It is not about creating a large organisation with offices and boards. It is about creating a living idea that moves wherever compassion is needed. That is the heart of Project Breathe.
And Of Course, I Am There Too
For me, this is about doing something that feels right, even if it is difficult. It is about putting my effort into a cause that matters more than personal comfort or achievement.
I am here because I believe in what we are building. And I want to see where this journey leads.
Mission Tanzania
We know that the blog alone may not generate all the funds the school needs, so we have decided to volunteer in person. We will spend few weeks at the school in December, helping in whatever way we can, and preparing ourselves for the new adventure we began. To tell a story that belongs to everyone who believes in the impact of small efforts.
So please, support the school. Read the blog. Share it if it moves you. And if not, that is fine too. You can simply read, and move on to the next story.
Thank you for being here and for giving your time.
